Overview:
Jyoti Prakash Scholarship Program is an initiative of the Buddy4Study India Foundation to support students with disabilities, transgender students, first-generation learners, orphans, single-parent children, and sportspersons to help them cover their educational/sports expenses and enable them to fulfill their dreams.
Eligibility:
- Students who belong to the following category are eligible:
- Students who have lost either or both of their parents.
- Students whose parents are non-graduates and are daily wage earners, drivers, farmers, gardeners, plumbers, electricians, security guards, etc.
- Students having 40% disability or more.
- Transgender students studying in Class 9-12, graduation, or postgraduation.
- Sportspersons who have represented at state, national, or international level in the last 3 years. Click here for more info on the sportspersons category.
- Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in their previous qualifying examination.
- The applicant's annual family income must be less than INR 6 lakh.
- Open only for Indian citizens.
- Children/wards of Buddy4Study employees are not eligible for this scholarship.
- For Class 9 to 12 students: INR 15,000
- For Graduation students: INR 18,000
- For Postgraduation students: INR 24,000
Documents required:
- Aadhaar Card
- Marksheet of previous qualifying examination
- Family income proof (ITR Form-16/income certificate from competent government authority/salary slips of parent(s))
- Passport size photograph
- Proof of current academic year admission (admission letter or bonafide letter issued by school/college)
- School/college/university fee receipt for the current academic year.
- Declaration/ proof for the mentioned crisis.

- Login to Buddy4Study using a registered ID to land on the ‘Online Application Form Page’.
- If not registered on Buddy4Study - Register at Buddy4Study with your Email/Mobile/Facebook/Gmail account.
- You will now be redirected to the application form page.
- Click on the ‘Start Application button to begin the application process.
- Fill in the required details in the online scholarship application form.
- Upload the required documents.
- Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions and click on ‘Preview’.
- If all the details filled in by the applicant are correctly showing on the preview screen, click the ‘Submit’ button to complete the application process.
